1.About this policy#
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and session storage, used on mitte.si and partners.mitte.si, which are operated by Swfte Limited. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back with later requests. Local storage and session storage keep information in your browser without sending it to us: local storage keeps it until it is cleared, session storage until you close the tab. The law treats all of these in the same way, so we list them all.
2.What we use, in brief#
We keep this deliberately small:
- On mitte.si, there are no cookies. Two optional preferences can be saved in local storage when you use the controls on the page.
- On partners.mitte.si, a single sign-in cookie is set when you log in to a partner account. Two short-lived session-storage items support managed payments.
- Nowhere do we use analytics, advertising, retargeting, social-media pixels, session recording or browser fingerprinting.
3.The complete list#
This is every cookie and browser-storage item our sites use. If we add one, we will update this list first.

None of these items is shared with anyone else or used to recognise you across other websites.
4.Strictly necessary items#
The partner portal cannot keep you signed in without the session cookie. It is set only when you sign in or register, and it is protected so that scripts cannot read it, it is only sent over HTTPS, and it is only sent to partners.mitte.si (the __Host- prefix enforces this). It lasts up to 7 days and is deleted when you sign out. Signing out everywhere, resetting your password or deleting your account ends all of your sessions, and changing your password ends every session except the one you are using.
The two session-storage items exist only during managed-payment tasks you start, and they disappear when you close the tab.
5.Your preferences#
The theme switch (sun and moon) in the header and the motion control on our pages save your choice in local storage, so the site looks the way you chose next time. Without a saved choice, the site follows your device’s light or dark setting and its reduced-motion setting.
These preferences are purely functional. They are stored only on your device, are never sent to our servers, and contain nothing but the words light, dark, on or paused.
6.What we don’t use#
- No analytics or statistics tools, including Google Analytics.
- No advertising, retargeting or conversion pixels.
- No social-media widgets or “like” buttons.
- No session recording, heatmaps or fingerprinting.
- No third-party fonts, scripts or CDNs: our fonts, images and videos are served from our own servers.
- No embedded third-party content such as YouTube or maps. The download QR code is generated in your browser.
7.Third-party sites we link to#
When you follow a link to another service, that service may set its own cookies under its own policy. This includes:
- Stripe: hosted checkout and partner payment onboarding on stripe.com domains, which use cookies for security and fraud prevention (Stripe Cookie Policy (opens in a new tab));
- Apple App Store and Google Play, when you choose to download the app;
- Partner websites you visit from Mitte.
Nothing from these services is loaded on our pages.
8.Why we don’t show a cookie banner#
EU and UK rules (the ePrivacy Directive and its national versions, such as Slovenia’s Electronic Communications Act, and the UK PECR) require consent before storing information on your device, unless the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
The sign-in cookie and the payment session items are strictly necessary for the portal features you use. The theme and motion preferences are saved only when you actively make that choice, are used only to apply it, and never leave your device; European regulators treat this kind of user-interface customisation as exempt. Because we use nothing else, we do not need to ask for consent, and we don’t interrupt you with a banner.
If we ever want to use anything that is not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first, with a choice that is as easy to refuse as to accept.
9.How to control and clear them#
- Change a preference: use the theme switch or motion control again.
- End a portal session: sign out, or use “Sign out everywhere” in Account settings.
- Clear everything: delete site data for mitte.si and partners.mitte.si in your browser. For example, in Chrome open Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → See all site data and permissions; in Safari, Settings → Advanced → Website Data (or Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data on a Mac); in Firefox, Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
If you block all cookies, mitte.si still works fully, but you will not be able to sign in to the partner portal. If you block local storage, your theme and motion choices will apply only until you leave the page.

10.Changes to this policy#
We will update this policy, and the date at the top, whenever we change the cookies or storage we use. See also our Terms of Service.
